About me

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Cathy and I’m in my early 30’s.  I’ve been reading Trixie’s since I was a little girl.  Sadly, I can’t remember exactly which Trixie was my first, it was either Bob-White Cave, Cobbett’s Island, or Secret of the Mansion.  But I loved each one I could get my hands on.  Well, except for the last five, which my parents bought me but I didn’t really like. (I have since thanked them for purchasing these at the low, low price of $1.95 each.).  And occasionally, when I was feeling nostalgic (especially on breaks from college), I’d reread the books that I liked.  Funny, they often were the ones that featured the Jim and Trixie moments.   I’m totally, totally a Jim and Trixie fan.  You just might be able to notice that in my stories.

Then, about a year ago, when I hated my job and was looking for a career change, I thought,  I love Trixie Belden and I love to write.  OK actually, I love to create stories, it’s only recently I’ve started putting the stories onto paper.  So I decided to find out who was publishing them and whether I could convince them to let me continue the series (hey, I have big dreams).  Instead I found tons and tons of fan fiction.

And that was even better, really.  After lurking for a while and devouring as much fan fiction as I could find, I decided to participate fully and have really enjoyed the family feel of the boards.  What a great community.

Then, the ideas in my head were screaming to get out and I finally wrote some of them down.   And even let others read them. I’ve really enjoyed the positive feedback I’ve gotten on them, have I mentioned what a great community this is?

And a special thanks to Jix members, Jenn and Lindsay (Reganfan).  Lindsay was the first person to read my story and encouraged me to submit it.  Jenn read the first one and has been my wonderfully supportive editor ever since.  Thank God for that, I now understand how the KK’s messed up details.  Luckily, Jenn catches that for me (Oh right, it’s three days since the last story, not a couple of weeks.)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading them, I’ve loved writing them.
